For thousands of years, the Whadjuk Nyoongar people have lived on the lands of Boorloo (Perth) and used yarning to pass history, culture and perspectives of the future between generations.

TEDxPerth acknowledges the Whadjuk Nyoongar people as the Custodians of these lands and waterways, and extends our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

Update on TEDxPerth Flagship 2025

We want to share an important update with our community. After much consideration, the TEDxPerth Board has made the difficult decision not to proceed with the 2025 Flagship event. While community engagement has been strong, ticket sales did not reach the level needed to deliver the experience our audience and partners deserve.

We remain deeply grateful for your ongoing support and are already working towards an exciting return in 2026 — stronger and more inspired than ever.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas change everything, TED has created a program called TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxPerth, where x = independently organised TED event. TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
