The grants officer sits within the TEDxPerth Partnerships team and has an integral role in the financial success of the organisation by working to obtain grant funding opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties

Research
Research and identify suitable grant opportunities
Prepare applications
Prepare, write and submit high quality grant applications
Collaborate
Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and develop compelling applications
Manage grant
Manage grant compliance, acquittals and reporting obligations
Maintain accurate records
Maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes.
Build positive relationships
Build positive relationships with key funding bodies and stakeholders.

Knowledge and skills required: 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Good organisational and problem solving abilities  
  • Knowledge of grant funding processes is desirable 
  • Excellent written communication and persuasive writing skills  
  • Grant writing or fundraising experience

Time Commitment:

  • Weekly Tasks Dedication: A commitment of 2 to 6 hours per week, with flexibility around key project deadlines. 
  • Collaborative Meetings: Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress and actions, 1 hour per week. 
  • Deadline Commitment: Timely completion of tasks is essential to ensure the success of our projects and the smooth operation. Respond to any and all correspondence in timely manner.
