Responsibilities and Duties

Plan and manage all technical and production requirements

Coordinate with venue staff

Oversee staging, sound, lighting and visual requirements

Develop and manage production schedules, budget and resource allocation
Supervise load-in
Supervise load-in, rehearsals, show calling and pack down
Manage relationships
Manage relationships with external production partners
Provide post event reports
Provide post event reports and contribute to continuous improvement
Lead a team of production staff
Lead a team of production staff to achieve success
Collaborate with the leadership team
Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure successful event delivery across all production areas
Ensure event production remains at high levels
Ensure event production remains at high levels in line with TEDxPerth brand expectation.

Knowledge and skills required: 

  • Experience in production leadership roles  
  • Strong technical knowledge of staging, audio, lighting and event logistics 
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem solving abilities 
  • A passion for live events 
  • Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external partners 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment

Time Commitment:

  • Weekly Tasks Dedication: A commitment of 2 to 6 hours per week, with flexibility around key project deadlines and events. 
  • Collaborative Meetings: Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress and actions, 1 hour per week. 
  • Deadline Commitment: Timely completion of tasks is essential to ensure the success of our projects and the smooth operation of our organisation. Respond to any and all correspondence in timely manner.
